Taking Care of Your Emotions Can Keep You Healthy!

I spent last weekend at the Best Answer for Cancer Conference in San Diego.  I was there as I had been asked to share what I do with patients from all over the world.

What I was not prepared for was the amount of Doctors who believe that emotional health is just as important as physical health and that if one is dealing with a condition, whether it be cancer or any other disease, taking care of your emotional state is the most important thing one can do for one’s healing progression.

You see, emotions are energy and as such they can affect us at a cellular level creating dis-ease or health in our cells.  When our cells are not healthy, we start having symptoms.  Our body is a monitor, it tells us when something is not working.  It is up to us to listen to it and take care of it.  Negative or blocked emotions create disease in the body.

I could not believe what I heard!  The Doctors were supporting the work I do as an Intuitive Mindset Coach without even knowing!  When we shift our mind’s perspective, we give ourselves the opportunity to change the way we think and choosing thoughts that then create emotions that are more empowering and supportive of a week balanced life.

There were 3 reoccurring themes among the Doctors:

1. Forgive your self and others for any wrongdoings.  Anything in the face of a health crisis is meaningless, so let go and forgive.

2. Release negative emotions.  Negative emotions become matter and become dis-ease in the body, so if you hold onto negative emotions they can get stuck in your body and materialize as distorted or cancerous cells.

3. Practice gratitude.  If you practice gratitude every day you can’t but feel good emotions.  Do this often enough so it becomes a habit to keep the pesky negative thoughts at bay.

I have known the effect of the mind on our body and emotional state through my own work and the work I have done with clients.  It is very powerful stuff!  it takes practice, but I would not be the woman I am today, if it weren’t for my daily thought and introspective practice.
